American Civil War Extra Large size Tin Type photograph of a Union Soldier complete in its original case.Circa.1864/65
A very attractive American Civil War photograph of a young Union soldier stood posing for the camera,sporting a “Lincoln type beard and holding his cap in hand stood next to a table. The ‘Tin Type’ photo has some very slight damage to it, otherwise it is in remarkably good condition for its age and type. The photo is encased in a gilded ornate frame, which is inset into a wood /paper covered hinged case,typical of this period. Condition is very good and is unusual in that it is quite a large photo compared to many one sees offered for sale on the market today. Size approx. 5″x 4.5″(Extra Large size for these photos.)
