JAPAN. Japanese Patriotic Women’s Association (Aikoku Fujinkai) Parade Banner complete.Circa.1935-1944
Superb Japanese World War Two banner, complete on its black lacquered bamboo ribbed pole with metal fittings and a superb gilded “chrysanthemum” banner top. The attractive printed cotton banner is edge in golden yellow cord fringe and the outer edges of the banner has a gold braid border, two scarlet and white hanging ribbons are attached to the banner top then falling down alongside the pole and edge of the banner. The central motif represents the Japanese Army and Marine branch of services. Condition is excellent and this is a scarce item from the Home Front of Wartime Japan.
