Italy. Italian Alpine Troops Officer’s hat. Circa.1939/45

Very attractive light grey/green cap with leather sweatband and silk lining. Having the makers label to the inside. The cap has a silk head band and roped cord front, to the side is the gilded metal feather holder showing the Italian Coat of Arms and the holder has the white feathers denoting an officer. To the front is the heavy gold bullion wire Eagle clutching a bugle with a black velvet centre, this denoting the Alpini Regiments of the Italian Armed Forces. Condition is very good for this very eye catching piece of headdress.
