British: Great War Service frame 1914/18.Western Front.
A quite scarce and superb stylised map of France picture/photo frame in blackened metal with coloured flags of France and Great Britain,depicting towns,locations and weapons of war. The frame is an official frame with registration number and patent number to the reverse and is entitled”Service Frame Western Front”. There is a small wire stand attached for resting at the rear of the base of the map and where the picture is supposed to be there was a glass front(now missing) and a cut down postcard/photo of a young British Tommy. A very pleasing item approx. 18cm (7″) square. Condition is excellent apart from the missing glass.
