Italian Solar Topi (Sun helmet) Circa.1936-1944
Very good condition Italian Fascist/Regular Army sun helmet as worn during the Ethiopian War and World War Two. The cork, linen lined helmet is complete with its original leather chinstrap, khaki panelled covered helmet with side pouch for a plume and typical domed screw top. Leather sweatband to the interior. This is exactly as they were issued for service and in many cases no insignia was worn with this style helmet, unlike the many that are offered for sale with badges etc. to hopefully increase the price. 100% good honest original period helmet from both affore-mentioned wars.
