Manteau a Capuchon Modele 1935.(Scarce colour)
A scarce Manteau a Capuchon in dark chocolate brown, we have not been able to ascertain why this Capuchon is this colour, it is 100% original, nicely stamped inside with an Algerian makers stamp,and dated 1939. Condition is very good, it does have one of its four bakelite brown buttons missing and we suspect this will be difficult to find, typical steel hook and eye arrangement fastenings around the neck area, one being broken., This is a heavy and large item, and is stamped XL for extra large.
Short History of wear.
This style of garment was worn by most motorised arms of service such as Artillery, Dragoons,Chasseurs and Chasseurs Alpins troops(part of their dress from March 1938).
