France. Scarce Medaille D’Honneur in Vermeil(Silver gilt) for Russia. Circa.1920
A scarce medal of Honour and diploma issued to a French soldier of the 22nd Regiment of Medical.(Infirmierer) who during a Military Mission to Russia to help in a Typhus epidemic died from the disease himself and this medal in silver gilt was bestowed upon his family for his services rendered.
The medal is housed in a black wooden glazed frame, which may prove difficult for posting as it is quite large and obviously fragile being glass therefore we can only pack accordingly but would accept no responsibility should it be damaged in transit. The silver gilt medal is named and dated 1920 to the recipient and the whole lot apart from the frame which is scuffed and knocked about is in very good condition. This is a rare item and any Foreign Services to Russia are very scarce and very collectable.
