German Artillery Officers Tunic & Visor cap Dated .1944
German Army Artillery Oberstleutnant(Lieutenant Colonel)M41 six button tunic in stunning condition, probably private purchase and dated 1944 to the inside label of inside pocket. Four pocket tunic with all buttons attached, rank collar patches and bullion wire epaulettes denoting rank, rank pips of gilt. The dark green stand and fall collar has two hook and eye fastenings and the whole tunic is lined inside with silk lining and with the makers label of “Josef Hudrysek Wien(Vienna)”. There is the usual dagger hanging strap attachment to the inside with vent in pocket to allow wear of the dress dagger. Medal bar mounting loops are to the top left hand breast pocket and there is also a loop for Award/ Insignia mounting to the left hand breast pocket area. A beautiful bullion wire embroidered National Eagle and swastika emblem are hand sewn above the right hand breast pocket. A beautiful and 100% original Third Reich period tunic together with a similar condition Artillery Officers visor cap, manufactured by Ludwig Sprenger,Altona Wandsbek. Sonderklasse Standard. from the lozenge label on the inside lining. The cap is red piped for Artillery and has a few moth nips here and there but is generally in first class condition, fibre peak and above the National aluminium cockade and roundel with National aluminium eagle and swastika above. Bullion aluminium wire cap cords and stippled aluminium buttons complete this very nice cap. A very good set, seldom found nowadays in this condition and totally original and in untouched condition. Excellent for the serious investor/collector alike.
